NFT Propaganda
A propaganda series inspired by 1940s ads
This project is a speculative illustration and design series that reimagines NFTs, crypto and metaverse culture through the visual language of 1940s wartime propaganda and public-information posters. The goal was to build a cohesive fictional advertising system, using retro persuasion techniques to explore how hype, urgency and collective messaging might look if applied to speculative finance.
The series was not created to promote financial decisions. Instead, it functions as a visual thought experiment and commentary on how design can shape perception, desire and belief.

How can a historical propaganda aesthetic be repurposed into a speculative modern advertising system?
★ SOLUTION APPROACH★
I approached the project as a system rather than as isolated posters. Each piece was designed as if it belonged to the same fictional public campaign, using recurring visual rules: aged textures, limited color palettes, bold typography, persuasive slogans, mid-century cartoon language and poster-like composition.
The conceptual twist came from translating historical wartime messaging strategies, urgency, duty, participation, sacrifice, loyalty and optimism into the language of digital speculation and crypto culture.

HISTORICAL INSPIRATION
I studied the tone and visual structure of 1940s rationing posters, recruitment ads and war-fund campaigns.
MID-CENTURY CONCEPT TRANSLATION
I reimagined those persuasion strategies in a fictional context where NFTs, crypto and the metaverse were being promoted to the public.
SYSTEM BUILDING
I created a cohesive visual language across the series using retro textures, limited palettes, propaganda-style composition and recurring ad rhetoric.
CULTURAL REMIX
Each poster combined historical graphic conventions with contemporary digital-finance themes to create irony, commentary and speculative worldbuilding.
FINAL OUTCOME
The final outcome became a fictional archive of wartime-style advertisements for a modern speculative economy.
