The World Cup In Three Acts
I experienced my first World Cup from three different perspectives: as a fan, a volunteer, and a designer.
Along the way, there were unexpected moments: from volunteering at the Fan Festival in Miami to watching Colombia’s elimination from a bar in Anchorage to returning to Hard Rock Stadium for the third-place match between England and France.
Each part of the experience changed the way I looked at the tournament. I began to notice not only what happened on the pitch but also the people, spaces, uniforms, objects, and visual details that shaped the event around it.
