I experienced my first World Cup from three different perspectives: as a fan, a volunteer, and a designer.
Along the way, there were unexpected moments: from volunteering at the Fan Festival in Miami to watching Colombia’s elimination from a bar in Anchorage to returning to Hard Rock Stadium for the third-place match between England and France.
Each part of the experience changed the way I looked at the tournament. I began to notice not only what happened on the pitch but also the people, spaces, uniforms, objects, and visual details that shaped the event around it.
I brought those moments together in my latest blog post, The World Cup in Three Acts.

My journey through California has been nothing short of amazing. I set out to explore beyond my comfort zone, choosing California as my destination to traverse the vast landscapes of the United States. On my first night in Shibuya, I was just looking to relax after a long day of exploring. That’s when I stumbled across Taito Station: a neon-lit wonderland packed with lights, music, and the kind of gaming experiences I’d never seen outside of Japan. I immediately realized this wasn’t just fun—it was a cultural phenomenon.
